On the 28th February 2019 the Reparations, Responsibility and Victimhood team held a joint workshop with the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP) on alternative sanctions, victim participation and reparations as part of a broader discussion on the role of restorative justice in transitional contexts. Assembly of State Parties to the International Criminal Court

Reparations decision on Al Mahdi case
On the 17th August 2017 the International Criminal Court ordered reparations against Mr Al Mahdi for the destruction of the UNESCO World Heritage site in Timbuktu in 2012, relying in part on our Human Rights Centre submission to the Court last year. Read the rest →
